La Source It’s right after start and one of the most important corners, because the exit leads onto the longest straight. So, you never brake too late here, as you want the best possible exit and the track is so wide here now, that it’s easy to miss the apex! On the exit you have to mind out to not run onto the Astroturf.
Eau Rouge The most challenging corner on the track. You approach in 5th gear and for the fastest drivers it’s flat out without even a lift in qualifying! You have to be so precise with the car on entry and use all the curb on the left at the bottom to be able to have the car as straight as possible at the top of the crest, using all the road you can. If you make a mistake here, it will cost you all the way down the Kemel straight.
Les Combes It’s very hard to pick a braking point here, as you approach at the top speed of the Supercup car, too late and you will have to use the escape road, too early and you will lose too much time. Use all the curb on the right and try to keep the car slightly left on the exit so you can take more speed through the third apex of the corner.
Rivage Another tricky corner, as you approach downhill, it’s easy to lock up and go off into the gravel. Avoid the bump on the entry and the track is off camber, so the car understeers a lot and you have to be very patient with the throttle. The left following it you have to attack and use all the curb on the way in and on the way out, to get the maximum speed on the run to Pouhon.
Pouhon You approach this very quickly and it’s another downhill off camber corner, so you have to be careful on entry, otherwise you will run wide mid corner and the lap will be finished. As soon as you hit the first apex, you are on full power and up to 5th gear before the second apex. It’s important to be smooth with the car now and let it use all the road on the exit.
Fanges A medium speed chicane, that is very hard to get a 911 setup correctly for, as it always wants to understeer mid corner. You commit lots of speed into both apex’s and you can’t let the car run wide too early, as the exit curb is aggressive and you lose time.
Stavelot The first part is straight forward, a quick brake and down 1 gear, using all the exit curb and try to take the second part flat out, but if you miss the apex slightly, you are in big trouble, as the wall is very close on the exit!
Blachiment You approach with a lot of speed and only need a small lift on the way in and immediately back on full power, it’s a pretty daunting corner for drivers, as a mistake here will lead to a big crash.
Bus Stop Braking down from 6th to 2nd gear means it’s easy to lockup and although the chicane is tight, the track has a lot of camber, so you can take quite a bit of speed through both apex’s, but it’s very important to have a good exit on the pit straight to finish the lap.
