The Turkish German double
The merchant Arkin Aka comes from the family atmosphere of the GTP weekends. He has been racing in this series since the season 2001. In 2004 the hobby racer, who comes from Hanover and got the Turkish citizenship as well as the German, did his first Porsche Carrera Cup race as a guest starter in the Germen series at Oschersleben.
In 2005 he comes back into the German Porsche Carrera Cup with a new formed team, and not at least is looking joyfully forward to his home race – the first on at Istanbul. Together with his brother Arda, the two become the first Turkish pair of brothers in the Carrera Cup there.
In the season 2006 attempto Racing will be on the grid with two vehicles. Beside the team manager, one of the two Porsches is driven by the German Dieter Hagenmüller, who already drove for the team one year earlier. |
