Focused on the titel

In 2008 the successful team aims for the championship in the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup once more. Under the entry of Lechner Racing Team Bahrain the troop of the Austrian team manager claimed the title in the Supercup team championship in 2007. Furthermore the Irishman Damien Faulkner with two pole-positions and two race victories fetched the runner-up in the driver standings, being on the podium in every second round. For the current season the team from Austria under the entry of SAS-Lechner Racing wants to go for the driver’s title with Faulkner.

There is hardly one team in Europe that celebrated more successes within three decades of motorsports than the team of the Austrian Walter Lechner. For more than twenty years the team manager himself sat behind the steering wheel and brought in innumerable sports car successes. During group C times with the Porsche 956 and 962 he belonged to the most successful sports car pilots of the world. He dominated the Interseries, a sports car championship in Europe, almost at discretion. In the Porsche Supercup Walter Lechner with his team competes since the year 2003.
