About the enter of SPS-Performance in south africans Sports car championship, racecam.de has allready covered last year. Now the team of Stephan Sohn is on the brink of the first race at the Pro Tour Championship. In Qualifying, Lance David had just give into Toby Venter, who was driven a 800 hp strong Porsche 993 GT2.
The two Cup-Porsche of Moodley and Arnold

In the qualifying session for the first round of the Pro Tour Championship at East London Circuit in South Africa, the SPS-Bigfoot pilots covert ranks two and eight. With a 1.21.569 minutes lap Lance David Arnold was the fastest driver in his class and second fastest in the overall results. The German from Duisburg was only beaten by Toby Venter, who clinched the pole position driving his 800 hp strong Porsche 993 GT2. Considering the difference in power as well as the fact that the track has a high percentage of full throttle it’s a satisfying result for the German team. “It was as if you have to battle with a knife against rifles. We will see how Toby performs in the race and if he is able to stand the pressure”, says Lance David Arnold. Sun Moodley, who steered the second car of SPS-Bigfoot Racing, finished the session on a brilliant 8th rank.

The South African competes for the first time in a Porsche 997 Cup and moreover it’s the first time his drives a race car with the steering wheel on the left side. Moodley covers sixth rang in his class. It’s a good base to start into the initial two rounds of the Pro Tour Championship for the two SPS-Pilots.
